Like other Railway Recruitment Boards, the Railway Recruitment Board Gorakhpur also appoints candidates on the basis of their performance in the written examination and overall merit. The Railway Recruitment Board Gorakhpur calls for eligible and competent candidates by means of the notifications made in the employment newspaper and their official websites at www.rrbgkp.gov.in. The employment notification can also be viewed from the leading local and national newspapers. The applications are first scrutinized for minimum eligibility and completeness of information and if found eligible, the candidates are then called for the written examination.
